EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS
David co-founded Cream Productions in 2003 and is the current Chief Executive Officer of the company. David drives the company’s strategy within the sector, and oversees the teams across North America that develop, finance and produce the wide-ranging and award-winning television and digital content for which Cream is known. As Executive Producer, David has recently produced the Emmy Award-nominated TV mini-series, Blood and Fury: America’s Civil War, the Emmy-nominated series Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan and the series Weapon Hunter among others. Based in Cream’s Toronto office, David oversees operations on both sides of the Atlantic through Cream offices in London and Los Angeles. Recent client broadcasters include Hulu, NBCU/Syfy, Investigation Discovery, Travel Channel, National Geographic, History Channel, BBC, UK’s Channels Four and Five, Germany’s Pro Sieben & ZDF.
With a penchant for bringing strong, often international teams together, Kate is involved in all aspects of production at Cream; from the development of a kernel of an idea to financing, production and final tweaks in an editing room. She is always cultivating new projects and partnerships, and her numerous business relationships take her on regular trips to LA, New York and London. As President at Cream, Kate brings with her an extensive hands-on background in dramatic production, having produced/managed over 30 feature films and MOWs as well as a handful of television series, including work as the Production Supervisor on Showtime’s acclaimed historical drama series The Tudors. Kate is currently executive producing Cream original series Fear Thy Neighbor for Investigation Discovery, now in its sixth season, as well as the bulk of Cream’s international co-productions, which includes service providing for season two of Sky Atlantic’s Riviera.
Michael Rosenfeld is an award-winning producer, writer and television executive with extensive leadership experience in documentary production and new media. He has produced and written films covering a broad sweep of topics, from anthropology to history to volcanology. Prior to joining TPT as head of national production, Rosenfeld served as president of National Geographic Television and head of television and film at Tangled Bank Studios. In a career spanning network broadcast, cable, and public television, he has won or led teams that won hundreds of industry awards, including the Peabody and 40 News & Documentary Emmy Awards.
SERIES PRODUCER
A Toronto-based filmmaker, over the past 15 years Matthew has written and produced dozens of hours of award-winning productions for broadcasters such as the BBC, Channel 4, National Geographic Channel, History Television and the Smithsonian Channel. Matthew has written extensively on many of the major military conflicts of the past two centuries and his work has screened in film festivals in Berlin, Los Angeles, Toronto and Mexico City. In 2017, Blood and Fury: America’s Civil War, a six-part series Matthew wrote and produced was nominated for a News and Documentary Emmy.
