As host of "The Food Principle" I'm often asked four questions.
At its core, "The Food Principle" is about conservation, connection and community.
We use food as a lens of understanding, to enable us to act upon many of the global challenges of our time from climate change and biodiversity loss, to health and healing, to social justice and inclusion.
On this show you'll meet remarkable guests, taste mouthwatering flavors, explore wild landscapes and delve into bustling cities always using food as our lens and our guide.
Our guests are as diverse and dynamic as the world around us.
You'll meet indigenous land stewards and world-renowned chefs, farmers and food truck owners, grain gurus and social entrepreneurs and so many more.
"The Food Principle" will spotlight stories from across the US and around the globe.
In season one, we travel in Appalachia and in Denmark, exploring the idea of food as a tool for healing and recovery.
As a springboard for a roots resurgence and as an expression of social consciousness.
Going forward, we'll see how food is helping revitalize cities which are projected to house 70% of humanity by 2050.
We'll dive into regenerative farming on land and water.
We'll understand how rewilding helps reconnect us to both nature and ourselves.
And we'll learn how food is helping the formerly incarcerated reintegrate into society.
And still we'll barely scratch the surface of all the stories we want to bring to you on "The Food Principle."
You'll come away inspired, engaged and empowered to make a difference whether at home in your community, or halfway around the world.
So join us for "The Food Principle" and together let's plant a better planet.
