She was born in 1925, so she was visiting baseball games around the early 1940s.
She went to see the Cardinals and the Browns, and St. Louis took the street car.
She'd stay after the games, and beginning about 8th grade through high school, she'd collect autographs.
She and her friend would transfer them to the jacket, and then sew them on here.
APPRAISER: Wow, and let's look at let's look at the other side because she took some Hall of Famers here we have Stan Musial, very well known here.
Stan the Man from the Cardinals, and then we have Enos Slaughter, another Hall of Famer.
So we've got all these Hall of Famers, but tell me about Terry Moore.
Terry Moore was one of my mom's favorites, and actually, she told us that when she and her friends stayed after the game to get his signature, he offered to give them a ride home, which he did.
And that was not unheard of back in that day, I guess.
APPRAISER: You basically have this wonderful patchwork of the great Cardinals names of the 1940s.
Now why do you think she added in "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," the first notes from the most famous baseball song ever?
GUEST: That's my mom.
She loved the Cardinals, she loved St. Louis, and at the seventh inning she was standing up singing that song.
APPRAISER: Have you ever had it appraised?
GUEST: No I have not.
APPRAISER: To me, it's a piece of art.
And if I was going to put an auction estimate on it, I'd probably put $1,000 to $1,500.
GUEST: Wow, wow.
APPRAISER: That would take you out to a lot of places.
GUEST: That would, that would.
She would love that.
