Bergen County ends ICE contract with NJ county jail

As of Wednesday night, the state of New Jersey is officially out of the business of housing detained immigrants at county jails. In a unanimous vote, the Bergen County Board of Commissioners ended its controversial agreement with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the last contract of its type in the state.
