A long time television investigative producer, Bergman was a founder of the Center for Investigative Reporting in 1977. He has produced investigative reports for many national broadcasts, including ABC's Nightline, 20/20, World News Tonight, and CBS's Evening News and 60 Minutes, where he has been a producer for fourteen years. Bergman was awarded an Emmy for his 60 Minutes report, "The McMartin Preschool," and a George Foster Peabody Award for "The CIA's Cocaine." In 1990, Bergman produced FRONTLINE's "Global Dumping Ground" with correspondent Bill Moyers. He is currently senior investigative producer for CBS News.
