Join the Discussion: What do you think about the abusive tax shelter problem? Is broad reform necessary or is a case-by-case approach enough?

Dear FRONTLINE,

After hearing part of this story on Marketplace, I watched Frontline with keen interest. Sadly, my cynical attitude toward banks, audit firms, and "top" legal firms continues to grow. Concurrently, I am reading the full account of Enron's peccadillos in the book by Bethany McLean, a discouraging account.

Most depressing is the knowledge that the scoundrels will continue to devise new and ever more devious schemes to avoid paying taxes.
