... read news from abroad ...

Boycott U.S. media altogether for a few weeks and read news from abroad. It will inspire you.

Gene, NY Strongly Agree

... journalists not sensationalists ...

September 16,2003

40 years ago the media consisted of journalists not sensationalists. just a bunch of pretty faces today. shame .shame .shame ...i guess if they had to tell the truth, there would be anarchy....

Wadiya, NJ Strongly Agree

... you can't tell me it's not about the ratings. ...

September 15,2003

When the biggest news is about Ben and Jen's broken engagement, you can't tell me it's not about the ratings.

Tommy, CA Agree

September 12,2003

Of course I agree. Entertainment news runs our airwaves. However, you always have the option to turn it off.

Marcia, CO Agree

... tend to overdo it ...

September 12,2003

Yes they do tend to overdo it but I think much of the blame can be placed on the American public. After all someone must be tuning in to follow the Kobe story or it wouldn't be on. It's all about ratings.

Julie, RI Strongly Agree

... They overdo everything. ...

September 12,2003

How could anyone disagree with this statement!! Of course they overdo sensational stories. They overdo stories that are not sensational. They overdo everything.

Jack, MI Strongly Agree

... I can't agree enough! ...

September 12,2003

I can't agree enough! It's just a bunch of fluff and nonsense all over the airwaves day and night. I watch the NewsHour because it's the only place I can find the real news.

Monica, ME Disagree

... feel a real pressure ...

September 11,2003

I think the news organizations feel a real pressure to please viewers. If we don't like what's on TV or on the radio it is always our option to turn it off. Maybe they'd put less sensational stories on if their ratings didn't soar everytime they did!

Richard, CA Strongly Agree

... the most scandalous things possible, that's what ...

September 11,2003

It's constant. Constant. The same stories, the hype, the most scandalous things possible, that's what gets covered. I can't believe the press is still covering that Kennedy cousin who was sent to jail. He was found guilty -- enough -- leave it alone.

Maria, MI Agree

... I could use a little good news. ...

September 11,2003

Why are we constantly told all of the negative things going on in the world? I, for one could use a little good news.
