The Hume-Carnegie Museum in Mendota, Illinois celebrates local history. Built in 1905, the building is named, in part, after Andrew Carnegie who funded the library originally housed there. Local inventor, Horace Hume, also lent his name to the building, funding its transformation from library to museum. The space features a variety of exhibits celebrating the people and accomplishments of Mendota.
