Oklahoma's budget crisis sparks concerns for residents of the state's nursing homes. A 15% cut in the Oklahoma Health Care Authority's appropriation would result in a 25% reduction in the Medicaid reimbursement rate. The Oklahoma Association of Health Care Providers says that deep a cut would close 93% of Oklahoma's long term care facilities, leaving more than 16,000 residents no place to go.
