Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship- What draws me to a specific story, a specific location is usually if it's a unique story, if it's a visual story.
If people haven't heard about it, I, I can tell almost within a couple seconds whether it's gonna be a great story or not, and I credit a lot of that to my news reporting training that taught me what a story was, how to research it, who to interview.
But it usually is something that's intriguing, whether it's my favorite architectural style, Victorian style, or whether it is the first people of Southern California.
A lot of people don't know about their history and that's why for me, it's so important to tell these stories and that's what also draws me to the stories that they're unique, that I know people are going to enjoy and learn something from it.
But also if that story hasn't been told before, and we're able to tell it in a really wonderful way with historic places because we get that long format where we can give a lot of information so that, you know, people can understand that specific location or that specific group of people.
