Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship- What I think is lost when a historic site is removed, demolished.
I think it's not only extremely sad that that saddens me when I see something that has been lost, because you're never gonna get it back.
And what happens with a historic site is that it has so many stories to tell.
It's a historic site.
It could be a building, it could be a home, but there's meaning behind these places.
And so when they're demolished, when they're torn down, or when they're removed completely, they're gone.
And part of the history is gone.
And that history is important for not only that community, but also for the people who live there.
Because if you remove these buildings, these historic sites, you know, you lose so much and the community loses as well.
So that's something that I, I'm really passionate about.
And I, my my hope is that all these historic places are preserved and protected for the future.
Because once you're gone, they're gone and you can't bring them back.
But if you protect them, people can learn from these sites because there's so much history, there are so many wonderful stories to learn about.
And it, it brings you closer to your community.
You know more about your community, and it brings people together.
And so losing a historic site is, is something that's very serious.
And I think we should do everything we can to protect historic sites.
