Susan Larick Texas I have fibromyalgia. Pain all over with spasms that stop me in my tracks. My feet hurt so much I can't stand for more than a few minutes because they feel like they are on fire. Headaches and chest pain are common with muscle weakness, inability to sleep well, nausea, "changing" vision and "EBB" = exhaustion beyond belief! It took several years to be diagnosed because mostly they test until they can rule out "recognized" illnesses. I have had MRI's, cat scans, x-rays, blood tests; on my head, neck, upper back, spine, lower back, hips and feet. I am still able to work full-time at a desk job but am concerned how long I can keep going. The brain-fog (mental confusion) seems to be worsening. I feel I MUST continue to work to add to my 401k so in retirement I'll be able to afford the medications I may need. What a reason to work! I recently found a message board of other FM'ers which has been a God-send. There are literally millions of human beings out there with this debiliation. We need persistent research and doctors who will pursue avenues of real pain treatment instead of saying "it's all in your head". Believe me it is not. YOUR STORIES Karin M.
