PBS CELEBRATES NOMINATIONS FOR THE 47TH ANNUAL NEWS & DOCUMENTARY EMMY® AWARDS

**UPDATED** Arlington, VA; May 1, 2026 – PBS celebrates 51 collective nominations for the 47th Annual News & Documentary Emmy® Awards, announced today by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. 

PBS’s wide-ranging nominations from its national and local producers encompass PBS NEWS HOUR, FRONTLINE, AMERICAN DOCUMENTARY/POV, BBC Studios, BREAKING THE DEADLOCK, NOVA, WASHINGTON WEEK WITH THE ATLANTIC, NATURE, FLORENTINE FILMS, VOCES/Latino Public Broadcasting, ITVS, INDEPENDENT LENS, AMERICAN MASTERS, and GREAT PERFORMANCES, along with The WNET Group, WETA, GBH, and Maryland Public Television, among others, reaffirming PBS’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality storytelling as a trusted and reliable source. A complete list of PBS News & Documentary Emmy® nominations is included below.

This year’s awards will be presented in two back-to-back ceremonies at the Palladium Times Square Theater in New York City on Wednesday, May 27 and Thursday, May 28.

PBS is proud to share these acclaimed films with audiences and is honored to be recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Many of these nominated documentaries are available to stream on PBS.org and the PBS App.
