In Photos: World Events of 2011

It’s a year that will be remembered as one that ended authoritative regimes in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Yemen. In 2011, the most-wanted fugitive in the world was killed in Pakistan and severe weather battered the global population. We also said goodbye to Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, NASA’s space shuttle program and, for the most part, congressional deal-making. Look back at these events in our slide show.
