Happy Lunar New Year! But is it the Year of the Sheep or Goat?

Millions of Asians are traveling home to celebrate the weeks-long Lunar New Year, but are they ringing in the Year of the Sheep or the Goat?

Well, it turns out, both.

In Mandarin, the Chinese zodiac sign for the upcoming year is “yang” — a horned animal, which can mean either sheep or goat in English, or even ram, just to make things a little more complicated.

So apparently, you — or “ewe” as NBC News put it — get to decide.
