I think religous beliefs are fine and good in structuring people's lives. But "May God fluff your pillow instead of your head." I dont think religious beliefs should be forced on people, as that is just what causes religous wars. I dont need someone else's religion structuring my family's lives or brainwashing my children. Since when did God change what He has said in His Bible? Who are these people who think they can just change its meaning to fit their life style?

If you read 1 Corinthians 7, you will find out what a marriage consist of. It does not say that same sex marriage is right.

January 27,2004

Religion requires selflessness. It is naturally hard for us to practice it to some degree. That's why it requires the help from our Heavenly Father. I am not ignorant enough to think that I can do it on my own.

January 27,2004

The public should have paid more attention in history class. The constitution says absolutely nothing about freedom from religion. The country was trying to separate itself from a country where a particular religion was enforced by the country, and they were trying to provide for religious freedom without enforcing a doctrinaire religion.

January 27,2004

I am a born again christian and i made a lot of wrong decisions before I let Jesus take over my life. I have to say that Following Him and the bible has drastically changed my life for the better. I've found out that healing belongs to me, peace, joy and happiness. Even though we go through trials and tribulations in our lifes, He's there to see us through

The TEN COMMANDMENTS are the summary of the entire BIBLE. I try to remember to ask myself WWJD? How much better our world would be if we all asked that same question...

January 27,2004

For a religious person, this may doubtless be the case-- that a very specific doctrine plays a large role in their daily decisions. But this is not to say that those without religion do not have doctrine of morality and decision-making as well. Too often, one takes "religious" to be synonymous with "moral." Gwen did this during her interview tonight. Shame on her! She eschewed the notion that strong belief in, for instance, environmental causes would be a specifically MORAL doctrine with as heavy, moral and passionate weight as that of religion.

January 27,2004

Jesus Christ is my personal Saviour. I base my choices in my life on what God's word teaches. That's the principles that our country was founded on! We Must not forget this. If someone does not believe The Bible is God's Holy word,---then my question to them is---Have you ever read it and researched it? If not, read it and then make your decision. If someone has not read it they do not have the right to say that it is not true....

January 27,2004

As a Christian, I believe that God is involved in my life on a daily basis as He will be in eternity after my death. Jesus said in John 10:10 that "I came that believers may have an abundant life". I enjoy this life of abundance and full meaning through my relationship with Christ on a daily basis.

January 27,2004

To be highly influenced in decision making by my church does NOT mean that I am therefore, of the right wing, dominant, loudly political current view. There are other, quite "religious" alternative views.

January 27,2004

I am a spiritual human and do consider nature and a higher power in making certain decisions and in living my life, but not ever in response or obligation to the ruling of any church or doctrine.

January 27,2004

This battle about God in our country, is just a means of stating your stand. You either stand with God or against him. We can not vote God into or out of existence just by believing, any more than thinking I can fly just by 'believing' it.

January 27,2004

My system of beliefs: Do unto others as you would have them do to you? Demonstrate love, peace, kindness, gentleness, patience, self-control---are all part of the belief system that undergirds our Declaration and Constitution. For without these particular beliefs, freedom becomes only anarchy.

January 27,2004

It is no as much as religion as it is my relationship with God that governs my life. The teachings of the bible can only help American life. The bible teaches us not to lie, cheat, steal, murder etc. If we would follow biblical teachings, and have an intimate relationship with God, our way of life generally speaking would be much better than it is now.

January 27,2004

This country was built on God.
The people that come to live in this country with other faiths is there choice. They should not be allowed to try to change us or our country.
They have come to live with us and we have allowed that because of the values God has given us. This must be remembered and maybe they should think about the values God have given us to tolerate
the diversity in our country.

January 27,2004

Our Country was founded on the basis of Freedom OF Religion ( not FROM RELIGION) which to me means my choice of being a Baptist, or Methodist, etc. or any other Christian Church. Our Forefathers believed in the Bible (Christian Bible) and we should obey the Chrisitan laws, above any other law. If a person does not agree with the Chrisitan Bible, they are free to go to any other country they choose. If we as a Nation do not continue to follow Gods law, we will loose the blessings that God has given us, and our Nation will fall in the same way the Roman Empire fell.
