... simply common thought ...

January 27,2004

In my religion God's Holy Book is all the Universe from Galaxies to Gnats. Any book that speaks in contrary to what can be seen in the Original Work, it is not the Universe that is in error.
My understanding of faith can only be belief in the face proof to the contrary. Any other belief is simply common thought. Such kind of faith can only be insanity.

Tammy, NC Strongly Agree

... because unperfect people are leading ...

January 27,2004

I make all my decisions based on God's Word, the Holy Bible. I don't always agree with what may be done or said in my church, for the most part I do, because unperfect people are leading the church, but the Word of God is never wrong.

Jamie, IN Strongly Agree

... The Bible is my foundation! ...

January 27,2004

Every good and morale foundatioin can be found in the Bible. The Bible is my foundation!

Jeff, KY Strongly Agree

... roadmap for daily life on earth. ...

January 27,2004

God's word the Bible is my roadmap for daily life on earth.

John, CA Strongly Agree

... I follow a Biblical Worldview ...

January 27,2004

I follow a Biblical Worldview

Larry, MI Strongly Disagree

... make my own moral decisions ...

January 27,2004

I make my own moral decisions instead of blindly following what someone elses views.

Alan, IA Strongly Agree

... Each day is a gift ...

January 27,2004

I pray daily for God's wisdom and guidance. Each day is a gift from God so I take each day as an opportunity to honor him with my actions and speech, and when in doubt seek his absolute truth (the bible). But I can also feel comfort when I do fall short of his desires because his forgivness is available to me through believing in my Savior, Christ the Lord.

Donna, MI Strongly Agree

... it is because of my religion ...

January 27,2004

My religious beliefs are based on the bible. The church O attend back up my beliefs, but it is through the teachings of th Bible that I live my life.
I am a good person, a good neighbor, a good citizen. I help others in need and it is because of my religion that I do not enter in to activities that go against the teachings of God. I do not lose self control because of drugs, alcohol. I do not murder, I do not steel. Yes, it controls how I live my life and how I treat others.

Joe, TX Strongly Disagree

... should not influence government ...

January 27,2004

I find religion too constricting. I value freedom and make decisions based on my sense of right and wrong. I do not believe God exists, but I have strong moral convictions that guide my actions. I feel that churches should not influence government but should focus on their membership and allow others to follow their beliefs.

Renee, GA Strongly Agree

... EVERYONE has free will ...

January 27,2004

I don't understand how people can disregard God. Look around you. How did you get here? How do you know right from wrong? There is more proof than ever that the Bible is true and yet as a human race we are more likely to believe any other piece of news garbage but not our own creator. True, you have a right a chose but as parents they are also making those decisions for their children. Children are people and should be allowed to make their own decisions not be brainwashed into whatever their parents believe. EVERYONE has free will. By the way for all those who want to take God out, I'll take all the jingle in your pocket and that green stuff with GOD we trust on it!

Lynda, MI Agree

... Do unto others ...

January 27,2004

I don't happen to have a problem with "Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you".

Frank, NY Strongly Disagree

... strongly and publicly ...

January 27,2004

I am afraid of discrimination beause I am an atheist. That is the bottom line. The USA should not respect religion any more than it respects no religion. What would Judge Moore or President Bush do with me? is there no place for me in the US? I will allow them to have their beliefs if they will allow me to just as strongly and publicly have my non-belief. What is the difference between Mr. Bush asking his god if he should invade Iraq and Osama bin Laden asking his god if he should have some airplanes blow up some people in New York?

Leon, AZ Strongly Agree

... must return to the values ...

January 27,2004

Our nation was founded on Christian principles, and it seems that we are slipping away from the former tenets.
We as a nation must return to the values that our forefathers instilled into our laws. That is if we want to stay as a nation.

Dorothy Ki, MD Strongly Agree

... Morals have nothing to do with religion ...

January 27,2004

People only come to the point of needing GOD when they are sick, dying, or in some type of desperate need. Only because man (government) can not and will not help. Morals have nothing to do with religion. Is is simply what you believe. Did the GOvernment, Morals, Science Hang the sun and set it on a time clock. Did the Did the GOvernment, Morals, Science define where/how the water should be held back from the land! Most of these response are idiotic!

Stephanie, LA Strongly Disagree

... My morals play a important role ...

January 27,2004

You do not have to be a religious person to be a moral person. My morals play a important role in my everyday life, but religion has nothing to do with it.

Mike, IL Strongly Disagree

... do not impinge on my life ...

January 27,2004

I don't care if religion plays a large part in someone's life as long as that person's beliefs do not impinge on my life or liberties. And, as the framers of the constitution knew, those tendencies are to be avoided. I don't pray to what I believe is a non-existant god to steer my hand or thoughts in perceiving how to move into the future and deal with any matter, or for that matter crisis, and I would certainly like to believe that those who have power over my own life, such as my president, do not either. I will make great effort to see that such is not the case, even to the point of leaving this country, should the current trend continue. And to be sure, there is every bit as much honesty and morality in myself than any person who does believe in a god, and most likely more so. Most wars, conflicts and persecutions have been brought upon mankind because of religion and it's misuse by religious leaders. And please note, that I am only slightly more uneasy to feel that my legislature is under the logic robbing effects of a martini lunchs than religious beliefs. Please only govern me because of what is good for us as a people and not what relates to our religious beliefs.

Kathy, NC Strongly Agree

... to tell me what is right or wrong ...

January 27,2004

The principle of right and wrong come from the Bible and my faith. What weight dose a mere man carry that is as flawed as I am, to tell me what is right or wrong. If a man tells me that I should'nt kill or steal, what weight does that hold? Humanist carry no weight with me when they spout there morals. Without a sinless and blameless God that I, and everyone will have to answer to, Jesus being sinless, eternal and God in the flesh is someone that I can strive to be like. Not humanist, who are as corrupt and fallen as I am.

Ozzie, IL Strongly Agree

... form a foundation ...

January 27,2004

My religious beliefs form a foundation upon which moral and ethical values are based.

This is, however, tempered by other outside influences and an educated formulation of a course of action based on existing cirumstances.

Tonja Myl, LA Strongly Agree

... have help so many persons ...

January 27,2004

I was addicted to drugs, sold drugs and sold my body for drugs. I have been in a mental Hospital and tried to kill myself several times. I was molested at 7 and raped twice. I should have been dead BUT BY THE GRACE OF GOD I LIVE AND LIVE Free from all the above. I tried every program and only GOD set me free. I now have helped thousands of people become SET FREE. I have a FAITH BASED substance program that have help so many persons and their families. When people walk into our program they know it is faith-based, we force no one to walk though our doors. We help save tax payers millions... it is less to treat than to put in prison.

Joseph, MD Strongly Agree

... WE ARE A CHRISTIAN NATION ...

January 27,2004

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WAS BUILT UNDER A JUDEO-CHRISTIAN FAITH.
ONE NATION, UNDER GOD. WE ARE A CHRISTIAN NATION.
